Trebmint, I would love C style syntax, although I think OO in MSX is going a bit too far
I'm eager to see that development environment.
@karloch. Well i've always claimed symbasic (now Unify) was OO, and in some ways it was as it did access symbos form objects like that. Now I'm reworking the compiler to spit out faster code, it made sense to add OO in the form of classes. The actual idea is try to appeal to as many people as possible by allowing both a simple language to learn and something which looks modern and familiar.
OO is great! Synthesix is also built on object oriented structures in assembly. There’s no reason not to use OOP on MSX, other than limited language support.
I like the second... though I think that "w" could use extra point in middle and "a" and "d" are a bit too similar.
Yes.. while "p" got a modification to make the | longer in it, that modification is not applied to "b" and "d".
What about the New system font.. Does it look different in a 1:2 resolution ?
my vote for third font
TBH I think it's kind of hard to vote for a font without seeing it on an actual MSX connected to an actual RGB Monitor. Both fonts do look like quite an improvement to the current one, though. And based on the screenshots my vote goes to the second font.
My main argument against the third font being the 'a' next to a 'p' (as in 'appear') looking somewhat less pleasant.

Good point... Now when I try to imagine I think that third font would be probably better for hi resolution screen.
I think the third font is better because the resolution is low and if you have too much squiggly details like in the second font, it makes the character outline less obvious and it reduces the readability / comfort of reading.
Reduced comfort of reading means more strain on the eyes and mind to read, and whilst this is ok for specific applications that aren’t text focused (like score UI in a game), in case of platform UI which is presented to the user all the time, I think it is important to make the font the most comfortable to read as possible.
