Good idea! How many "important" different keyboard layouts are there? Usual MSX, TurboR. Or is it possible to grab the keyboard translation map directly from the BIOS??

You can obtain the keyboard layout type from the BIOS. For a list, see here, but it lacks the Brazilian keyboard layouts. Also, the information about the problem mentioned them doesn't seem correct to me. I think it's more related to the caveat explained below.

Caveat: The keyboard layout code "1" is ambiguous. It may mean any of the following layouts:

- US
- Brazilian/Expert 1.0
- Brazilian/Expert >1.0
- Brazilian/Hotbit
- Russian

The only way to differentiate between them is to ask the user to press [ and check where in the keyboard matrix it came from.

Tip: The Hotbit 1.1 and 1.2 have exactly the same keyboard layout.

I made an impression for 16 color icons :S

This one is no fake:

Thanks for the coloured icons, Edoz :)

I am currently working on expanding the Startmenu and the Desktop.
The Startmenu will be fully configurable and can contain any amount of items and submenus.
The Desktop will be able to contain any amount of 4/16 colour icons and (active) widgets.

This is already working now, what will require some work is to make the configuration utility especially for the startmenu.

Thanks a lot, was nice to watch it! Smile I liked the stress test with the Conway app. I also should have a look at the wrong pixels which appeared with 4in a row.
Manuel is right, there should be a keyboard predefintion for the TurboR.

Thanks Prodatron. I have noticed SymbOS doesn't detect the extra 512 KB of USER RAM included in the Megaflash SCC+ SD. Is this intended?

I love the 16 color icons and the new startmenu.. Running Naked in a Field of Flowers Running Naked in a Field of Flowers Running Naked in a Field of Flowers Running Naked in a Field of Flowers especially in this resolution!!

KARLOCH: SymbOS supports only 1 memory mapper. (It takes the biggest) But on the turbo-r it takes always the internal one to have the benefit of internal speed .. as the extended memory mapper is always slower!!!

BDW: How did you create this nice movie ? (Capturing etc.) It looks very nice!!
Second BDW: In the CMD shell you could also use parameters but you have to use the % ... so dir %w or dir %P

That's correct regarding the memory mapper. TBH it's MSX-DOS which chooses the biggest or fastest memory mapper Wink SymbOS just leave it untouched, so it's using the mapper which was preselected first by MSX-DOS.

In SymShell for the DIR command currently only %F (show free disc space) and %P (pause after one screen) is supported.
I can't use / for the options, as this could be a subdirectory (SymbOS allows both the UNIX and the MS-DOS way).
