Really cool EdoZ, looks very nice, and I like your way of going just straight forward! It's quite fascinating, that Quigs (Trebmints IDE for SymbOS, former SymStudio, former Unify) enables you to create these apps in such a fast and easy way.

Great work edoz! I wonder if a TetriNET client would be possible in MSX. Ricardo Bittencourt did something but without network: MSX TetriNET.

Hi Karloch, I think this must be not to difficult to do! Maybe i can use the current Tetris project to build a network version. Cool idea!

After some weeks i was lucky to have some more code done. I was able to test it against real network and real hardware Big smile
I tested it in a local LAN situation and with a connection using the WAN (Internet). Both are stable now...I'm so glad about the network part.. as it took me a while to get it stable without problems..

Good thing now is that the network part is done so i can start with the levels , gameplay/power-up's. The more fun part!

Here some pictures of test on real hardware.

Very nice, can you play between two different type of machines, eg msx vs amstrad ?

Yes.. that is the cool part about SymbOS. Only thing, there is currently no network device for the Amstrad or Enterprise machine. Hopefully it will be there soon. (There is some beta one) There are less "hardware builders" in the Amstrad community ... unlike the MSX world were almost every month a nice device is released. Somehow it would be (or it looks to me) very simple to make a slot converter for the Amstrad machines. (To use MSX i/o devices) I have an idea how to build it, but i'm not that good in hardware.. This could also have a benefit for hardware sellers like the GFX9000, Network cards, etc. to sell more of their hardware.

I tested the snake game against the OCM, Turbo-r, 7 Mhz machines and 3.5 machines. The logic in the game is now that the slowest machine, or the machine with the most CPU load is determinating the game speed. So if you use 2 turbo-r machines it will be more smooth then 2 3.5 machines. (Because the handling of the network traffic cost some time)
But if you run a turbo-r or a 7 mhz machine as server and a 3.5 machine as client it is also better for the performance. However it is still playable on 3.5 machines.
