Tip to no-Windows users: AGD also works under Wine!

I'm running AGD on my Mac. I had issues before, but after updating Wine they're gone. (I have Wine 5.0 now.)

Same problem of others AGD games. Hangs after the start game.

Oh, sure, I can't do anything but uploading to Github the fixed version. I'll try to do it as soon as possible and warn about this to the author, he will need to recompile the game...

Really cool!. Sooner or later I'll adapt the build to shell. The compiler itself it's dead easy to adapt and probably it'll compile without changes; but the build script is programmed in Windows shell and it's pretty big right now.

Btw, are you talking about the AGD engine or the WinAGD IDE?

Yes, it's dead easy, it does compile without any changes!

gcc CompilerMSX.c -o compilerMSX

gcc produces a bunch of warnings, but the binary will work anyway.

Everything! The compilers, WinAGD.exe, sjasm.exe.

I think sjasm sources are also available but the Windows-version also works (with wine).

Sure, I remember compiling it in a Orange Pi Smile

For the ROMDB for openMSX: I need to know who converted what game Smile I can only guess now since this topic is very long.

Hats off to jltursan Hannibal

I play with it and follow the Pixelsoft tutorial on youtube.
Here's my progression :

I should rather finish my adventure game dev before but I must admit that I need a pose in pixel creation for now.

I tried to tinker around with the editor today... Probably need to watch some tutorials first because I didn't get into it right away. In this thread it was said that some games were already converted to msx, but links are dead now. Does anyone have those games or can describe how to build those yourself?

Here are all the tutorials, though MPAGD is much easier to use now.
AGD Tutorials

I was going to convert my two previous AGD games to MSX, but I decided to make a completely new game remixing them.
This is Duckstroma

Coming soon to MSX/ZX/Amiga/NES oO

How cool!, Blimpgeddon is one of my AGD reference games and have it mostly running for MSX, just some tweaks needed. Let me know if you're finally interested in trying its conversion Smile
Beware I've a new version, not in Github yet as is still in development (I'm finishing the Linux support) that solves several (critical) bugs and adds some little features from AGDX.

Well I probably won't finish Duckstroma (ZX/MSX) until next month, what critical bugs may I encounter?
If I do eventually port Blimpgeddon, I'd use the much cleaner code of Duckstroma and make nicer graphics (so it's not a Speccy port).
Also thanks for making MSX AGD games possible Smile
