This will be the last announcement of the software related releases. There were also many hardware projects (sound fixes, upgrades, some new designs, etc) and some other software too (like a brand new driver for the SD-Mapper cartridges that's more than twice as fast on a TR than the MegaSCSI), but those would require more free time than I have, to package and document everything, so I'll have to withhold them.

I.e.: The SD-Mapper driver requires a hardware mod and a CPLD upgrade. The other hardware projects require pictures and well written articles.

But, for me, this last announcement has a very special one. I hope that, if any of the announcements I made here get into the MRC News-headlines frontpage, at least this one get a specific news-post.

Because working on these images helped me a lot to o keep my mind in check while I was on the worst stages of my rehab, after the surgery to remove an acoustic neuroma. I couldn't walk because of the lack of balance, had some face paralysis and my eyes had become misaligned. I had to re-train all of this again.

---------
So, this release is the Wakachan's CG Collection for the MSX2/2+

Wakachan is a very prolific Japanese CG artist that publishes his works since the 80s. He's well known for his lovable characters, that seem to be alive.

Most of his art was published for the NEC PC-98 and PC-88, but he was also an MSX user back in the 80s, owning a respectable Toshiba HX-34.

Some time ago, I contacted him to ask if I could make MSX2/2+ versions of his beautiful artwork. He agreed, gave some tips and feedback during the whole process. And he even got Graph Saurus working on his own setup!

I used here the same kind of tricks I learned while working on the MSX Pixel Art Collection Vol.2.

This collection has then a very special meaning to me. It's both a celebration of my recovery, and a homage to Wakachan artist skills and friendliness.

Here are some samples for your enjoyment. If this becomes a news post, I'll invite Wakachan here so see the reactions about his drawings.

Important note: What the Japanese call "CG 作品" is more flexible than what the westerns call "Pixel Art". Sometimes there's an intersection between the two, but that's not always the case.
