You are in the right path. Learning basic (or other coding language) means to train your mind in problem solving. When you'll know what basic instructions do then you'll ask yourself "how can I do this?". You'll find more than one way to do things, for sure! Next step is studying msx architeture, so you'll know what you can do (expecially with VDP). When you'll know how things works inside you'll search a way to do things you used to think "impossible". But things usually are (very) difficult but rarely impossible. I've started coding in assembly ome year ago (I was capable of basic coding) and I think my skills are grown a lot in one year. So you can do the same. Or better, who knows?

Thanks for the advice thegeps. One thing that I like from MSX is that it's a community, and it's very supportive. I'll do my best.
