Master system music (SN76489) --> MSX

Hi,

I was wondering, is that much trouble to get Master system music (SN76489 only) converted to be played with PSG ?

Another question, is there a replayer to master system songs in VGM format?

Try VGMPlay. That should solve your problem if it does. :-)

Actually my problem is that I would like to play some Master system music in ASM and see if I can do something with this.

I do know one person that has done so, and that's Muffie.

This shows his SN emulator for the AY, and that he used it in his unreleased Gyruss port.

You can look into the VGMplay code (it is opensource, thanks @Grauw) which can play SNxxxx music in asm on both native chip (MMM/Franky/Playsoniq/FlashJacks) or play it via PSG (with some transformations i guess)
