Check the keyboard type tag in the ppi section...
ah, ok, just "es" does internal magic inside OpenMSX... All good!
It refers to the unicodemap.es file.... Which contains the necessary data.
By the way, I'd like to document the machine from which the dumps came. Can you provide the serial number?

But of course...
I guess I somehow need to add the character mode for Spanish keyboards in my USB keyboard interface. But I am not Spanish and I don't own a Spanish MSX, so testing is a bit hard. Currently my interface does position mapping. BTW: it's now available for Philips and Sony machines.
I managed to turn my NMS8250/00 into a /16, thanks! Now I can start debugging. :-)
Unsure if you (still) need some debugging help with my 8250/16...
I will be glad to help with whatever manageable tests you still need to perform on the real machine...
Thanks. Do you have my keyboard interface? I managed to turn my NMS8250/00 into a /16 and I made new v2.00 firmware for the keyboard interface to do much better layout translation on Spanish machines.
