journey, I extract the files from the DSK and put them in a directory, then I launch the program with autoexec.bat directly from that directory.

After the test with the dsk file, i tried same as you. The program works, but when i press F5 for the song loader, i can browse only in drive "A" of the MFRSCC, but the songs are in "B"..

how can i change the drive?

I think it's better to use only the port 49h for the FlashJacks because there may be cases where people need to use an MMM with the FlashJacks. For example to use ROM2MMM.

currently you can't. I can have look if it is easy to implement, but no promises Smile
I like to point out that the current state of the program is not intended for real MSX use as of yet (and actually never intended for it, but we will see).
so 49h is the "official" port? if it will still give sound in openMSX with SN extension I will change it Wink

It is not official in any way because it is not standards compliant as I outlined in my earlier post.

But the Franky documentation recommends to use 49H.

Looks interesting, ill give it a try.

Out of curiosity, why do you call it "trial"? Will it be for sale later on or something?

The openMSX extension supports both:
SN76489 Digital Complex Sound Generator
Texas Instruments
SN76489
This extension contains an SN76489 sound chip on I/O ports $48 and $49 (mirror), the same as Franky, which makes it compatible with software like Grauw's VGMPlay.

It is not compatible anymore with VGMPlay 1.3, because I added explicit detection of the Franky VDP.

The Musical Memory Mapper extension works fine though.

If the SN76489 was a bit better emulated, it would be perfect.

Well, it won't improve if no one mentions what is wrong with the current emulation....

Compare the sound of ColecoVision games with OpenMSX and real SN76489, it sounds different and especially the noise generator. I compared by using the MMM I prefer clearly the real SN76489.
