See!!!! - "Solve it by upgrading something"...
Then the video drivers
Then the operating system
Gosh!!!
It's not possible to compile it, generate some real ASM coding with it and run it without those "cute-sandbox" JVM?
No sorry, would be nice but it’s not possible.
I use Java 7 features so indeed you need to have JVM 7 installed. It’s out since 2011, and Java 8 was just released, so I think it’s not too strong of a requirement for a programmer audience
.
No it's not. Actually, a nice MSX-development oriented tool, is one of the few applications that would make me do something about JAVA...
Congrats, and please, never take your webpage offline. Unfortunately, that's becoming quite common lately: Sapphire, mars, hap and etc...

Yeah, I know, it makes me sad. On the one hand the internet is great for publishing information and software as it makes it easily accessible for all, but it’s also much more volatile and things can get lost easily. I really admire The Internet Archive for this reason, I think they serve a worthy cause.
On the MAP I also frequently have problems with this, when some piece of information that I linked to disappears. I usually try to save a copy locally so that I can mirror it on the MAP if necessary.
Well, I mean, your webpage is regularly quoted on several occasions when someone asks for reference about how to code for MSX, specially in ASM.
Maybe, part of it should be copied to Wikipedia and/or to the Wiki here.
We never know, maybe in the future you might create a start-up, sell it for Billions to Google and end-up like Jordan Belfort...
Thanks for your kind words
.

No sorry, it’s not allowed… I invested a lot of time in writing articles and compiling the information, and I want people to come to my site, not the msx.org wiki
. Btw, Wikipedia does not allow original research, it will be removed.
However the source code is available on Bitbucket, so if people want to contribute articles or changes they are very welcome to do so! And in case something ever happened to me or the site, it can easily be resurrected. (But to be clear, author’s rights apply and this is not allowed without permission.)
But please do not worry about the site! Preserving information means a lot to me, and even though I had a 5-year hiatus from MSX I have always taken care to keep the MSX Assembly Page online, and even made the occasional update.
I have learnt that phase is a MUST for ROM programming. if the code is executed from RAM there is no problem, but if executed from ROM you need a versatile way to access RAM.
