And just now Fuzix 0.4 has been released, for the first time with official MSX images (no need to compile anymore):
https://www.fuzix.org/downloads/0.4/msx1/
https://www.fuzix.org/downloads/0.4/msx2/
The instructions still do not mention that Sunrise IDE is supported for MSX2 (it was already for MSX1).
In fact I am not sure if Alan had a chance to test it on real hardware - I only tested it on openMSX ... so if anyone feels like testing it, welcome!
Filip - finally joined msx.org (some of you will know me) :-)
PS: I will visit MSX GOTO 40, hope to see you there!

Yup. I've seen that name before Welcome to the club!

See you there
Hey, that's really cool news! Good to hear that the MSX port is still alive and kicking!
Just 2 or 3 contributors so far for MSX, but is better than for many platforms which have 1 or 0.
I was just testing 0.4, it looks quite a bit faster than older versions.
I still see some hiccups on the console (the cursor is misplaced sometimes), and the multiple terminal option is disabled by default; CTRL + F1...F3 allows you to switch terminal much like in a Linux system but this needs to be configured in inittab (set the ttys to respawn instead of off).
I think it would be worth to fix that, as it would make the system usable.
Also is a shame that we do not have any network driver yet.

How is it for Sunrise IDE/CF having the Nextor driver? I think it's becoming more common nowadays.

Yeah, alright. I just realized I still have a gr8net and that ericb59 already did the hard work of putting together some c code in fusion-c to interface with the ethernet device.
I am going to take a closer look at that to see how difficult it is to turn it into a gr8net driver for Fuzix.
Is there a driver for FUZIX that enables the use of a SD Mapper? I mean, maybe it doesn't exist but is there an easy way to make it happen?
Yes, MegaFlashROM SD is already supported.
How to deal with the cart .rom image? Does srom.com of sofarun deals with boot images? I tried on the openmsx emulator emulating the first brazilian (or second) msx1 and i got success. It's rocket science making this things works. Maybe i should be studying first some assembly or some source of C as well... Does anybody who can help me available. Sorry about the confusing text but i speak just brazilian english, not cnn nor bbc
