Anyway I'm pretty happy of the result for opll
Don't you think it works fine?

Of course! Is it your final approach?

I have no other ideas to improve the opll encoder
I would consider the last file final unless someone has an idea to implements

Will you post source code? I want to add speech to Aleste 2, but I'm more inclined to use msx-audio than scc or opll. Adapting to msx audio from opll should be easy.

Look at opll.asm in the last opll4.rar. It includes a simple player.

The encoder is opll.exe in the same package but you need to install Matlab run-time libraries to run it. look at readme.txt for details on what to install. In case you have Matlab you can run directly opll.m

Just put on isr the code that now is executed after halt

I did a bit of clean up in the OPLL encoder and player.
No changes in the math.
All files are here

Really well done ARTRAG.

I knew about this when it came out but I came back to it today because I had a task for it: convert sampled wav sound effects to something that could be played at 50Hz on an AY chip during a game. The samples sound like they were generated by an AY-like chip so I thought your converter might get reasonably close and it did.

These sound effects are not mine to give away publicly so I will PM you a link so you can hear for yourself in case you are interested. (Edit Ok, nevermind, there doesn't seem to be a PM facility here)

I also tried the speech synthesis. For anyone interested, this is a port to the spectrum:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6XhJJ33xpOWRnlLeDRVVU5ud2s/view?usp=sharing\

If you are familiar with the spectrum or have a spectrum emulator, run the tap in that dir and you'll be able to hear the results.

Is release04 the latest version for the AY chip?

no, relaese05b
https://sites.google.com/site/voicesynthesisontheisr/home/te...

use ascii8 as mapper and do not plug scc cartridges to hear the ay8910 voice
try
?usr(x)
from basic where x is in 0..6
