Hey.

I own a Raspberry Pi 3 with Retropie, which is fun for playing old console games but not for old computer games.

I want to be able to play my all time favorite The Maze Of Galious, but Retropie doesn't seem to support keyboard input during game emulation?
I'm not able to press F1 and F2, which are pretty much required for TMOG :-)

So I was wondering if anybody knows if it is possible to run MSX emulators on the Raspberry Pi running Ubuntu MATE (or maybe Raspbian).

Thanks.

Haven't tried Retropie yet, but maybe you can map joypad buttons to keyboard keys ? (should work if you have enough buttons on your joypad).

EDIT: Won't work, as you need to type the bosses's passwords anyway...

No, you can't map the controller to keyboard keys, I already looked into that Wink

I've Raspberry PI2 with retropie 4. Both keyboards and arcade buttons are enabled.
Arcade buttons are configured via GPIO, the default emulator is BlueMsx.

I've written a howto on how to install OpenMSX on retropie incl. keyboard support en keyboard mapping.

http://blog.petrockblock.com/forums/topic/msx-emulator-and-d...

If you follow the instructions, the keyboard mappings are like this (OpenMSX colom):
