AUTO_START_DELAY: 1200, // -1 = no Auto-Start, >= 0 = start then wait specified milliseconds before Power-on

Thanks, must have known that, as I already had a coupe of (swift) looks at Launcher.js.. Tongue Wink

I just tried it, nice gotcha I have to set the value to > -1 again before calling start... ;-)

My wishful thinking. I wish this part to set up a ROM mapper type when selecting the ROM. Very good WebMSX.

You can do that by adding a format hint to the ROM filename between brackets "[" and "]". Options are [ASCII8], [ASCII16], [Konami], [KonamiSCC], [KonamiSCCI], [DOS2], [RType], [CrossBlaim], etc...

I am documenting the complete set of options right now.

Also, next version will have new parameters to force the formats for Slot1 and Slot2, if you for some reason cannot change the filename.

That's a bug... You should not need to set the parameter again if you manually call WMSX.start()
Will fix that, thanks.

PS: Do you have a real scenario where you want to load the emulator, but only start it in a later moment?

I did have my suspicions.. Wink

Well, an interface (web-page) where one chooses what to play, and emu gets started (and stopped, and re-started with another ROM) via JS calls.

I did notice I could also shutdown WMSX, but after that could not start it again (as start gets deleted of course... Wink)

Yes, you can do that! However, you won't need to Shutdown then Restart the whole emulator. You just power the machine OFF, switch cartridges, disks, extensions, etc, then power ON again.

The docs (when completed) will explain how the JS Api works.

Hi ppeccin,

I was trying to get the Salamander with the voice addon to work, see this thread"

https://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/development/salamander-vo...

Could it be that WebMSX only works with one SCC, even if you put a Konami SCC in slot 1 & 2?

Feature/change request

It's a bit unfortunate that graph is mapped to Page Up. Some games (don't remember which exactly) (edit: e.g. Strategic Mars perhaps, Testament?) use the graph key, so it would be nice to have it mapped to left Alt.
Of course, a lot of shortcuts use the Alt key, but perhaps they could just be mapped to right-Alt only.

Not sure if there's any title that would profit from having the code key mapped to right-Alt though..

You might need this perhaps.. :)

edit: perhaps this could be a setting/toggle: as only certain titles utilize the graph key, one could just enable left-Alt mapping on the go, and disable again for comfort.

Another thing could be a shortcut for the main menu and/or the help screen.
Also, e.g. F6 could open the Disk A: menu instead of the 'Load from Files' dialog. But then (of course) it would be cool if the (opened) menu could be further navigated by keyboard Smile
