Hey Mark, don't get the wrong idea; I don't think you're all negative. I think some of your messages may get accross different from what you intended :
Anyway, what I would REALLY like to see this year, is you putting your coding skills to some good use and make some kick-ass MSX software!
I was trying to nudge you in that direction by challenging you a tad, was it working? ^^;
Whatever you do, make sure you're having fun ^_^ (And that goes for ALL OF YOU!)
ha, my code skills need to be pollished first! I have put my MSX and all it's hardware away. And won't start coding again. however, im curious for the new MSX and i will propably program for that one. A new computer gives me new possibilities.
For PC, i just can't find something to program at all! Everything i want has been done already and i would be hopeless to start a big project. I have learned that experience, unfortunatly.
I would LOVE to program communication software for the new MSX based on the usual/common IP technology.
I think one of the problems of your previous project(s) is that there was little attention to it. I didn't know it and msxorg didn't post about it for instance . The MRC is also (more and more) depending on members who submit news, especially developers. I hope that developers are more willing to submit news themselves with the new CMS in 2003
Mark: could you tell a bit more about your coding on MSX? What did you create, what was special about it, is it still available etc. (maybe something for another thread?)
CMS?? what is it??
currently, dont feel like postinh about that. brings back memories i dont like at all. thnx to......
CMS = Content Management System
And yeah, I hope this year will be good for MSX. It should be, if we finally manage to finish and release Bombaman
Bombaman?? naah, not this year, I bet we need at least another year waiting for robert to finish the gfx, and another year to polish things the way we want them
BTW, note to Snout (or anyone else from msx.org for that matter)... wouldn't it have been a LOT easier to just write a new CMS from scratch in stead of ripping modules here and there? With all the modifications you've done, a homebrewn system would be just as much work and easier to maintain

While adjusting the code I was thinking about the same. But eehm. the modules aren't ripped here and there, they're actually intended for this CMS. Bot most modules and the CMS had some drastic changes
oh, and before I forget, a happy 2003 to all of you, of course!
Happy 2003
My new year resolution:
Finish the MSX Xpress v5
Get my 'Propedeuse'
Go to Oss, Tilburg and Bussum again
Contribute even more to the revival of the MSX Community
and of course: HAVE FUN WITH MY MSX
