On the 20th June we will again be teaming up with the retro computer museum, this time the event will be at the Snibston Discovery Museum, Coalville, LE 67 3LN. We will be there from 11am - 5pm as part of the retrogaming weekender. We will have 2 tables reserved so will take the same machines, software and hardware that we took to Swannington.

Hey guys, all those didn't have the chance to come to the first event, now we do it in a pretty cool venue, the Snibston Discovery Museum.

We will show MSX,MSX2,MSX2+ and TurboR with some classic software and brand new productions. Remember this is a hands-on event, so you'll be able to try yourself those machines and titles :D
Remember we will be there just on Saturday the 20th
Please click here for more info.
We'll see you there!!!

This sounds better! Google Maps tells me to get a 440 National Express coach from London, which it says will drop me about five minutes walk from the venue. I've learnt not to trust Google Maps because they've sent me on some wild goose chases, so I'll have to check that with my map and National Express coaches, as well as anywhere else I can think of. Unfortunately, the route described on http://coachtracker.nationalexpress.com/routes/440/O/London-... seems to say I have to travel from London to Manchester, then back down again! My main problem will be getting there in time to make it worthwhile. I don't think there are any B&Bs actually in Coalville and I may not be able to afford one anyway. I hope you won't pack up before 5PM. I've been building a custom PC and not doing much with my MSX2 recently. I hope to install a floppy drive into another PC I built on a course, so I can transfer some more MSX software. Unfortunately, I haven't managed to create any music artwork on my MSX2 yet.

A bit of further investigation seems to be telling me that I could get off the 440 coach in Leicester, then get on a bus over to Coalville. This would take anywhere from 43 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes, but at least it's only one bus instead of three.

The Coalville bus runs from St. Margret's which is where the 440 arrives, there are a number of buses that go that way. We could arrange a meeting on the day?

I've already worked out that unless I get off the coach in Leicester, then I would have to go via Manchester! What a mad coach route! As for arranging a meeting on the day, I'm not sure what you mean. It looks like I'll have to get on a 440 coach as early as possible unless I could get a lift with someone travelling up from or near London. I think one of the organisers fernandomanuel.garciacarcia is coming up from near London, but this doesn't mean he'd give me a lift, even if I offered to help him set up and pack away the computers, or whatever.

Ok CX5mer, I'll go to Coalville the day before the event ( on Friday ) and I'll stay there in a hotel. My car has only two seats and probably my girlfriend is gonna come over, so mate that's the scenario for that weekend.

@ djh, we should have the following devices with us - megaflash roms, playsoniq, slot expanders, fm pacs, moonsound clones. And a few other bits and pieces.
Penguin adventure will be there! You will be able to play it with scc sound if you like!

Cool devices! shame i sold my TurboR GT a few years ago. Financial difficulties and lack of use made it something i had to sell.
