No, I remember!! It was Skooter, wasn't it?
Skooter indeed! It is the text at the beginning of level 9.
I've never heard such saying, "消化ã®æ‚ªã„物を食ã¹ãªã„ã§ãã ã•ã„ ( ShÅka no waruimono o tabenai de kudasai ) ", though I am Japanese!
@fukenko: do you think it would make more sense when it would have been 消化ã«æ‚ªã„物を食ã¹ãªã„ã§ãã ã•ã„? Anyway, little of the texts at the beginning of the levels in Skooter make much sense
.
Ok, so it's my turn again to ask a question... Ok. In the Netherlands, Aleste Gaiden was known as 'Aleste Special' at first. What was the origin of this name?
Bio challenge?
Wammes Witkop, who couldn't figure out the Japanese characters and figured out it must have meant Special?
(I guess Penguin kun Wars 2 being called 'Altler Wars' is a similar transcription effort. It's such a relief Knightmare came with an English name on the title screen, who knows what it would have been called otherwise.)
Edit:
Ah, found it. MSX Gids 27, page 36. Jocelyn/José Herps writes:
"Dan volgt het introplaatje met de naam ALESTE + Japans toevoegsel, dat wel SPECIAL zal betekenen...."
("then follows the intro screen with the name ALESTE + Japanese addition, which is bound to mean SPECIAL..."
That's correct! You're up again, Hrothgar!
Oh dear, I'm running out of good questions.
In which adventure game, after instructing the protagonist to drink a bottle of vodka he just found, his answer is "Hups... Drunk every day is also a 'geregeld' life"?
ZOO ?
That's not the one I had in mind.
