Super Laydock (slot 1) + Daiva 4 (slot 2) : main character of Daiva 4 appears in stages 1, 5, 11 of Super Laydock and gives tips.
Daiva 4 (slot1) + Super Laydock (slot 2) : select new game, enter LAYDOCK as password and you'll see the Super Laydock demo in stead of launching Daiva 4

You are indeed correct about the Super Laydock + Daiva 4 combo, Mars2000you.
The other way around you don't need the combo. Just put daiva 4 in slot 1 and enter Laydock in the wardata to get the hint about the cart combo (and some other stuff).

Casio also made use of cartridge combinations. If you play Iga ninpo chou 2 and you set its first part in slot 2 you'll get some advantages too.
Do you guys know what the code of those games does to recognize the other games? For Konami that's documented, but not for these other games, as far as I know.

Super Laydock just checks if a byte array is at an specific address. Probably the other games do it in a similar way, or calculating a checksum of an area of the ROM.
