Hi all,

I was just wondering to start recording some movies using blueMSX but I have a question. Which would be the best option to record those videos?
I mean, which is the best ratio - quality of video x size of the file?

Tks in advance.

If you intend to use Windows Movie Maker to edit your footage:

Render it as 'Microsoft Video 1' on 100% quality.

That's how I do all my stuff, anyway:

H.264 is a good option for smaller file sizes and a descent qulity.

@ only_69: yes, pretty much so. Good quality - but mind you, still a LOT smaller than saving it 'raw'!

Anyway, you can include as much as you want of those 'huge' .avi's with Windows Movie Maker and make one big film out of it;
the result will be compressed into a much, much smaller file. WITH the quality of gfx and sound.

please don't spread videos using obscure codecs though.. H.264 is a good, well-supported codec for making videos public at a decent quality/size ratio.

If we want that pixel has squares, and not blur circles, we need a lossless codec.

this is a real problem - obscure codecs. I need to know which option I use to save the video on blueMSX and then which codec to apply Question
i used the microsoft video 1 but it seems to have a lot of glitches when watching the video. i do not know if this is a problem with my notebook.
