I'm also not sure which year it was... but I think it was the year we went with a BIG group of people to Zandvoort where we put marihuana leefs on our boot because we had a marihuana D.I.S.K. edition!!!

Meits, help me...That was Zandvoort 1995.

For me the most impressing one was my first: Tilburg 1993... It was overwhelming...
Back in those days, being tall was handy cuz there were always huge rows of people in front of every stand... It was even very easy to get seperated from your friends there and find them back in over an hour...

..and Flying Bytes sold Bananenvla. Impact was very annoyed we sold more copies of Bananenvla than they did of Impact Musicdisk. I think the 'Amazing Fly By demo', part of the Ant demo, was a reaction to this.

Yeah, uhm.. like there's a 'planet RMF' in The Ant as well .... ;)

I think Flyguille would like that Fly By demo, btw :)

Dunno the year, but it was a Tilburg, with an additional small tent next to the main hall. RMF and Impact were next to eachother in a corner with some flame-heater between. Impact sold musix disk 5, and RMF sold RMF music disc 1.Possibly 1993. I was also in the tent and Impact threw pieces of sausage at me.

Best fair for me would be Zandvoort 1992. So much activity during those days... Frantic by AnMa, Sunrise shaping up... Yes, 1991 - 1993: MSX on a high.

Hmm, that's 3 votes for Zandvoort 1992 already. Interesting. Is it the fair that changed the course of our lives? ^_^

For me, it was Tilburg 2001. The personal contact I had that day with Nishi was overwhelming for me. Transporting him to the fair, the lecture itself, the days prior to the fair.....Just everything.....It blew me away.

I also have deep feelings for Tilburg 1992 (first fair where I had a shared booth with MSX Engine) and Tilburg 1994 (where we released Not Again!).....But.....Nops, it can't beat the Tilburg 2001-feeling Smile

I shouldn't forget Zandvoort 1991! Impact released Impaccen&Wegwezen and their first Musix disk..That was SO UTTERLY COOL Smile Smile I was at the height of my 'FUCK AMIGA' period and I enjoyed that MSX AUDIO music SOOOOOO much Smile

I enjoyed the MSX Tech fair, it was in Milton Keynes (UK) in 1986 (maybe 1987!) I met a lot of UK MSXers at that fair, there are no records of it on the net as far as i can find. It had no new hardware ideas, but I remember seeing my first MSX2 there.

djh - Could you estimate how many people visited MSX fairs in the UK at those times?

To me it's Tilburg 1993 as well... The first fair I visited. I was only 14 and everything was overwhelming... IIRC PA2 was released then, amongst many other products. So much MSX!
