I think there is a lot wrong with this. People should be free to delete/edit their posts as they please.

You are so wrong now. this is wat create bad forums. better is that it ony stays online for x time or it will be locked is not used for longer then x days. so ppl can start new topic. and ppl then can easy say there updated ideas.

Dont be evil syn and dont change your nick here becourse i dont know who you are most of the time.

@ syn: Why? What's the practical use? If there is new info, or a the author of the post spots an error, they can simply clarify or correct it with a new post.
Also, on any forum, it is good measure to just re-read and think twice before hitting that Submit button in the first place. Wink

@ zett: I must admit I found your contributions in this topic pretty funny, but let's call it a day with the biblical good versus evil stuff for now, shall we? Smile

There was a 'edit forever' feature in a spectrum forum long ago, until some people randomly changed their posts to attack everyone else on that forum. So they changed it into one hour edit.

One hour is too short. Often, I realize my mistakes the next day.

@ syn: Not me. I like new posts whenever there is relevant new info. 20 posts would signify not following the advice that I gave earlier.

you dont need a thesis to be written en 30 min is a lot. its just these days its to easy to submit your txt and think after hitting the button i should not typed that. so do like i do read your txt again and you will see it will get better.

Im for a lock down of a topic after 20 days inactive. and i think the names by number of posts are bad. realy childish.
