Did any of you buy MSX membranes?
Do you have any news about the shipment?
I have not been anything for months and I'm beginning to think that I've been cheated by 200 euros ... (5 membranes)

Thanks, and if you have any information, please write it

You're definitely not being cheated on.
That it takes months is because the guy who lets them being produced lives in Brazil (later more on that) and needs a minimum quantity of 100 pieces each before the factury that manufactures them even thinks of taking the order. Then there's the case of the bigger, regular clients which will postpone our small batch.
The membranes have been sent to the Netherlands and have arrived just before christmas. That's not the most ideal moment to send such valuable stuff, so I asked him to (at least in my case) not to send before the holidays were over. Shipment from Brazil to Holland took several weeks due to customs taking their time.
Great care is trying to be put in sending it to the individual customers. Packaging has to be done carefully because the content is delicate.
I order just as many as you and payed the same money, so on that behalf I am on your side. I want what I bought. Heck, I even started this whole group sale but handed it to Erik because it grew over my head. I have more than 100% confidence in it working out in the end.
Unfortunately MSX is a niche market. Patience is what we have to have to get what we want. It is either that or live without. I choose patience.
Surely I have easy speaking, since for me the membranes will be technical reserve. I can imagine people with their only membrane being broken are more eager to receive their order.

Next time better mail Erik directly in stead of writing his name here in capitals. He does what he can to serve the community next to his busy private/professional life. His former groupbuys went all smooth as well, so he has credit on that. Now the suggestion might be interpreted that he's pulling our legs. That's not the case. So in order to keep him willing to do such great actions in the future, I'll remove your capitals and edit the topic title so it's less yelling Wink

I wrote to him on December 28, no answer yet. We are still in a period of vacation. At the last news I got, the membranes arrived in Holland about a month ago. The main thing is to be able to use the Turbo-r again which a large number of keys no longer works. I'm like you, I'm waiting.

Hmm indeed contact Erik again, because I have received the 2 membranes I ordered.
Better yet, he brought them to my house. And they are the best. Works like a charm.

They arrived in Holland a while ago, but there they were stuck with customs again. No idea if Dutch customs are suspicious about South American parcels.

I think Meits has told the whole story, but here is also my comment:

Sorry for the delay, but I had to find a way to send out the membranes without the risk of being folded in the mail.
Last Monday I finally received the tubes that I ordered to ship the membranes.

I'm in the process now of making the membranes ready for shipment.
When they are packed I can get a quote on sending them to you and I will contact you on the mail address that is used to order the membranes to arrange the payment for shipping it to you.

The delay was primarily caused by issues with customs so I had to contact customs to clear the package, and multiple Paypal claims, so I had to use my spare time to get evidence to PayPal.

So hang in there, the membranes will be send as soon as a I have a quote on the shipping costs and when you have paid for the shipping.

For people that are visiting the MSX Beurs (dichtbij) Nijmegen, I can take the membranes to the venue so there is no additional shipping costs.

Erik, do you maybe have an extra turbo-r membrane left?
If so, i'm interested in it, and can pick it up in Nijmegen....

hehe, just wanted to type the same question because since yesterday the 2 key isn't working anymore on my TR. But I was wondering if it's possible to fix the membrane with a Conductive Silver Ink Ballpoint Pen? I saw blogs where people did fix their pc keyboard membranes.

It works but probably this is even better. There is a pen as well. If you are going to apply the product on the 2 key pad only, be careful and don't apply too much. Keep in mind that the membrane consists of 3 layers. It has a double tracks layer with a separating layer in the middle, make sure you apply a thin coating of paint in the damaged pad. Key circuit consists of 2 pads overlapped (one per layer), when you press the key these 2 pads close the circuit. If you apply a thick coating, the pads make contact themselves and the effect is same than a key pressed.

Sorry for the delay,

No problem. Communicate with people to reassure them. Silence generates anxiety and may also be the time limit imposed by Paypal protection (I do not know).

You are among the first lucky ones to have it. I am eager to see the result. B-)

I do not know how to do it at the Dutch customs, I know from experience that it may be several weeks later when the expedition to some of Brazil region.

For some keys prefer resin to silver rather than carbon. I tried the product carbon, it scours too easily once it is dry (it may not be true for all). Once the bottle has been opened the product will not keep.

If it's just one key that's malfunctioning I doubt it's the membrane (unless it's on the end of the rail, which could be the case since the 2 is rather left and the connector utter right). You could clean the membrane on the inside (which actually should not get dirty ever since it's dust tight). There could be something preventing good contact.
If a membrane rail is broken on the place where they usually break (outside the keyboard), more keys should be malfunctioning. Conducting silverpaint is often used since it works as good as conductive ink but isn't as rediculously expensive. The conductive ink pens I ran into were as expensive as a new membrane.
