I got some I think, came with these booklets I have for the fmpac. Luppie should have them digitally Smile
Thanks for clearing that up by the way, I'll check if the amplifier is grounded itself.

Do you want me to ask luppie to send me a copy so I can check for possible positions for you to check?

@daemos: thanks that would be nice ! Hey if you want I can send you this booklet "de FM-PAC verder uitgediept", it might come in handy for... I dunno Smile I was wondering about the amplifier, it can't be that since I record straight from the msx > pc via a USB device, right ?

You use a USB sound card of some kind to record the FMpak output?

No comments on the audio side in the schematics, there is really not much that can go wrong here. Try the following experiment. Put a little piece of tape over pin49 over the cartridge connector. The soundin pin (was it pin49? I don't remember right now) and see if you still pick up the unwanted sounds. If the problem seizes. The sound is coming out of the MSX.

If so no problem. There are solutions for that.

where exactly is pin 49 ? since it's an uneven number I suppose it's on the bottom row ?

It's on the back of the cartridge the most right pin. (if looking at the back side)

guys, seems I found the problem: it's the TV interfering with the signal, but only when it's set on the msx's channel (any other input on the tv doesn't interfere with the sound). When I switch to another channel the hum is gone entirely. Does the video output of the msx somehow cause this noise ?
Well, nevertheless I ought to give that pin 49 thing a try. And I'd still like a minijack output Wink
