SDSC specifications goes up to 4GB but the clusters size grows up when a partition exceeds 2GB. It can causes problem on some devices. I don't know if Padial SD interfaces support it. If not, maybe it works by creating 2 partitions of 2GB. Anyway it's not easy to find SDSC cards of 4GB.

hello,
I bought a 2GB SD card and I indeed managed to format with the internal software of my LPE-MMC-V8BKP. When I connect this SD card to my windows 10 PC after formatting It appears to have a lot of partition (up to ZSmile. This is not a problem though, because if I do copy files to the first partition when I connect again my SD CARD into my MMC reader in my MSX 1 (a Philips VG8020) it does boot and see the files on it. Question now is, how do I execute the files that I have copied in that SD CARD? For examples I have a copied either .dsk, and a .rom games, but how I do execute them? If I run the msx command "files" I can see them there but I am unable to execute them.

Partitions should probably be formatted in FAT12 (at least the first one) to be usable under BASIC on MSX1. If this is already the case, maybe the partitions are not supported by Windows. In this case, you probably need to use a small 32MB SD in slot 2 to transfer files from a PC.

Now you got the cartridge with a working sd card, does it boot into msx-dos? If not you probably need to put the dos files there. Command.com and msxdos.sys. Once it boots to dos, you also need the tools I linked earlier from the product page, The file. unarchive that and put the files on the sd card.

There is a text file with instructions in that archive manual.eng which explains the use of disk emulator that runs dsk files called,
SDMMCEP

For rom games, search on msx.org on discussions about loadrom tool.

thank you @st1mpy for your support. Really appreciated. I think I got the SDcard booting into a msx-dos because at boot it asks me for the date which normally does not happen with regular msx basic boot up. Then I see a lot more memory than normally I see (I have a VG8020 with 64k). Then when I do run the command "files" I see the files present in the SD. This means i believe that I see the files, they are there and in my working directory let's say so...
only I need a way to run a .rom or .dsk or .cas file from the SD. That I don't know how to do it.
