Hi guys, I do have a Turbo-R ST with 512kB and two Snatcher Sound Cartridges expanded to 128kB and from primary slot 1 and 2 they both work fine, but in the MK slotexpander they are not recognized by SCROM/ROMLOAD. I already contacted BiFiMSX, but he has no clue. He has a Turbo-R GT and also a MK slotexpander and in this configuration it works he said. Maybe a bug in ST?
Can someone with an Turbo-R ST and Snatcher Sound Cartridge (doesn't need to be expanded) test this as well with ROMLOAD and report it here? It's much appreciated.
Other cartridges like MIDI-PAC, MegaFlashROM SCC, MP3 player and Padial SD do work fine from slotexpander.

Hello,

Know that on the MK 3.0 slot expander dip switch (4) is done. Are these any good?

@MSX4ever: yes, all 4 dipswitches are in opposite position, so the slots are enabled.

Maybe someone can check the sources from SCROM to see if it supports subslots besides primary slots and if it conflicts with the memory area of the FS-A1ST like the case with The Game Master 2?

It seems that there are two versions of the PCB: an older version with a wire at the back and a newer version PCB without it. Probably because the SCC-I could not address 128kB with the older PCB. Maybe someone can clarify this as well? Do more people have Snatcher Sound Cartridges with wires?

Test may also be done with another slotexpander, if it's still with the Turbo-R ST. I'm just curious.

@Jipe: thanks for testing. So, it doesn't work (right) from slotexpander... Any clues? BiFiMSX thought it would be because of slow memorychips. And if you try loading a game in the first time with SCROM and ST, does it run the game?

And if I use both primary slots, is there a way to connect an SD interface as well? Maybe using the third slot signal?

@Jipe: try ROMLOAD 1.99v instead of 1.99t.
I tried ROMLOAD 1.99t and it detects my expanded Snatcher Sound Cartridge as unexpanded SD Snatcher Sound Cartridge in slot 2-0 instead of slot 2-3 (?) So, detection routine contained bugs in 1.99t. This was fixed in 1.99v, however then it's never detected in an expanded slot in my case...
