23 Euro sounds a bit steep

I bought it on the MSX Nijmegen fair, so no shipping cost for me...

I also want to buy this book, but 14.80 EUR shipping to Germany is unbelievable ... Question

I think about 15 euros might be right, though I don't know how big the book is. Here in Finland the cheapest package price to Europe is 20 euros, registered letter up to 1000 grams 19.30 euros and priority maxi-letter up to 1000 grams 14.30 euros. Normal letter must be under 3cm width and I can't believe this book is so small that it will fit under that measurement. If it is indeed so small, then I guess the postage is overpriced. I have sold couple of books at Ebay and I know what I'm talking about. Wink

Hmmm ... I checked the price sending a 2.000 Grams package from Germany to Spain. The result: 8,90 EUR via DHL.

So you must ask about the possibility of sending it through DHL or any other private courier. Correos is not cheap, look at the standard international rates: Paquete Internacional económico

There was some discussion in the https://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/general-discussion/konami... topic on this book.

Personally I lik the Legend book a lot, mainly because of the fantastic design. All pages are in full colour and every Konami game has its own specific pictures. It gives a great impression of the days that Konami games ruled the world of MSX.

The English text contains a lot of language flaws. It probably was written by someone from Brazil or Spain. The strange thing is that some sentences are of a high standard, but others contain very basic mistakes. Even some (unintented, I hope...) crucial ones, when the word 'nigger' is used for a black figure in Hyper Olympics.

Of course, there are not a lot of books written on MSX games, so I am delighted to have this book and would recommend it. If there would be a second edition, I'd advise the authors to involve an English native for some corrections.

Visually this book is perfect. I can imagine the amount of work that went into that... However, there isn't a lot to read. No background story, no controls explained, no maps. Only two pages per title and lots of info on bootlegs. I'm glad I have this book but it has its flaws.

It seems there is a second edition after the book sold out. I hope that they read about my advice on language ;-)
