I like to say that the Montana John scc music is spectacular, I like very much and I think Wolf made a great job with the composition. Is a new level in musical words on SCC.
Wolf, do you have the KSS file of the Montana John?
Can you give to me your mail? because I wrote and email and it return an error.
I do not understand why people here do not put the entire mail, why is the reason?
My email is
The reason is the automatic webcrawlers that identify and store e-mail addresses for spam mailing. So, if you want to take that risk, go on publishing your own e-mail and good luck
It saves you a lot of trouble looking for pr0n and V14GR4 all by yourself.
By the way, I'd really like to know which tracker was used (sorry if it was already said, in that case I missed it)!
The possibilities in production, soundwise, are interesting.
toni> There is no kss file. I'm not entirely clear on what exactly is in one, but iirc it contains the replayer as well as the data. So it should be possible to make one.
DemonSeed> Wolf_ used Impulse Tracker 2 to make the tunes. The converter, data format and replayer are all custom.
toni: my email is in my profile. Besides, wolf (at) "the domain of this blue website you're looking at now" also works.
And as for IT2, it's a bit like .mod. So, per step I have: note, instrument, volume, effect, effect parameter. The instrument definitions have segment-style volume envelopes and segment-style pitch envelopes.
is Impulse Tracker 2 free ?
Sure! It's DOS stuff tho, but runs fine in a dosbox. Anyway, don't see it as the holy grail of solutions tho.. you've got to set up some conventions to stick to, and it helps if the soundcard driver (yes! this was the era of soundcard drivers!) allows to switch off interpolation.
And what about the IT2 to msx scc converter?
Are they free?
- it's an ugly brute anyway
- CPU-wise it's heavier than an MBWave player playing 24 channels (really!)
- I'd rather focus on my intentions to do a xplatform tracker, combined with nowind. This means that my pattern editor and such runs on PC, and the data storage + player runs on MSX via nowind.
Wolf, can you send me the IT2 mods?
I have deliplayer 2 on windows, I can heard the IT modules with a great quality.
Thanks so much.
