Hi

If the msx one chip project does not get off the ground commercially (I hope it does) have the advances been enough (FPGA code etc + ESE 2 project and others) that home made msx one chips will be made?

I thinks that the HOME construction of the 1CM isn't an option...

just because the surface tech required is not for begginers... only robots or experts with professional equipment.

and only the PCB will cost the half of the 1CM itself!

This depends on what kind of functionality you want. You can always use a FPGA prototyping kit (several vendors offer these). But then you don't have al the connectivity like joystick port, MSX slots etc. And the kit's that are available do not always have a TV or VGA output.

Is the source code (VHDL) of the One Chip MSX available? Or is it closed source? It would need some tweaking to run on a prototyping kit.

NO, VGA, SD CARD, and other things are NOT supported by the VHDL code right now... so, if you buy it, you can't use it.

ASCII already said that is a upgrade comming soon.

But they didn't said at which cost.
