Did anyone notice that Disney has a signature tune? When You Wish Upon a Star is the de facto Disney identification. A good Disney runner-up identification is that Electrical Light Parade tune (which I used in Infinite's snowfall entry Tongue). No matter where you hear this WYWUaS tune, the first thing you think of is 'Disney'.

Is there a signature MSX tune that immediately brings on the image of the MSX? If yes: which?

Nemesis family are originally arcade games, and ported as well to spe, ams, c64 and others too... so they are not very "msx signature"...

I say PENGUIN ADVENTURE... unless someone says it was arcade too... Tongue or ported from spectrum original... LOL! Tongue

Well, there are a few issues with this question yes.. MSX games being ports from other computers or consoles is one. MSX tunes being ported to other computers/consoles is one (you loose a bit o' uniqueness). The wide range of games/tunes is another one. Disney has all kinda long 15..20minute pieces that feature those WYWUaS themes in combination with a number of themes from their animated movies (Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Peter Pan, etc.), and most or all of those themes are in fact happy/uplifting. And it's not just the themes that may be familiar, it's also the style which is completely Disney. I just wondered what kind of music would be immediately 'MSX', no questions asked.

That Electrical Light Parade tune is Jean Jacques Perrey's / Gershon Kingsey's "baroque hoedown".
Perrey is in his 80's (old musique concrete dude) and still does
very funny music. Kingsley was the one who wrote "popcorn" by the way Wink

Can´t resist mentioning that Disney´s tunes have always been covered by countless artists from the very beginning (don´t know what´s the modern day situation is thought), so MSX tunes being ported to other computers/consoles is maybe not too bad thing for this topic, thought I understand your point wolf.
