Yes, it will work on both versions of GR8NET. You do not need to read whole manual, you need to look into the section I mentioned (10.5.5) if you want to know details.

What is running the GR8Cloud server? Does it require special software or is it based on an existing cloud based service like Google Drive?

Looks like it works like a wireless Nowind! Kind of! Can GR8NET already emulate floppy disk images over the network? (I bet it can...)
