Hi there,

I'm a new user around these parts. I'm not a complete n00b though - you may have seen my username around as I've been doing remakes and retro-stuff for the past 10 years. As you don't seem to be using signatures around here (which is kinda great) then I'll put my website here if anyone decides they want a look at my stuff.

I've never had a MSX computer though, nor have I ever met anyone who had one, but I've played the odd game on the BlueMSX emulator, so that's the limit of my exposure to it. My "roadmap" has been Spectrum, Sam Coupé, Amiga, PC and the occational console, so while I don't have much experience with the MSX I *do* know a thing or two about Z80. Not that I'm fluent or efficient in it but I've at least made a couple of games that has been decently recieved [Dingo, The Speccies & Speccies 2]. I'm also currently working on a Spectrum game that only really needs improvement in one area and then it'll be done, so hopefully there wll be one more game soon. So to put it in as few words as possible: I'm here to hopefully learn something from the 'Development' section - and might even be able to offer something worthwhile too.

I've been reading the forums for a while now, but finally signed up because of the ATAN2 thread. I think I'll start out by posting something there, but don't expect me to be super active - I think I've reached my limit of sites I can manage in a day if I still want to have a life, LOL, but hopefully lots of stuff will grab my attention - the MSX seems like a great machine. :)

Welcome, I guess. Smile

You might find many people here that you've seen before on "other places".

A first thing to know is that, while the MSX "seems like" (your words) a great machine, and very, very alike of other z80 machines, it's also very different from "that other machine", in terms of architecture, and can take a while to grasp.

Still, nice seeing you here. Smile
