Hi ..

I'm going to build an old Windows PC and put bluemsx or openmsx in autorun to start when windows starts, what I want is this: I know there are disk images and tapes and I have them all but I want this MSX virtual PC to be for my son but I don't want him to run games from images because they are alot and he will jump from game to game (as we do now because of the huge ROM, DSK and CAS collections) I want to use an old floppy drive and I'll create the floppy from images so that he experienes what I experienced with several floppies and not hundred images, so can I read MSX floppy disk through an emulator directly and write files to it directly??

Thanks

Under Windows this is not supported in openMSX. For file based disk it may work using dir-as-disk, where the sir is the floppy drive... I suggest you simply experiment a bit...

@Shinobi: I suggest you providing your son with real MSX. It will be much more valuable for him than machine specially built to run emulator.

Well I got one and alot of disks and a collection of Arabic educational software cartridges and I sold it when I was 16 years back when internet was not a thing and no one cared of retro hardware ... I will get one, God willing.
