I have another suggestion about these MSX model pages: there is currently a lot of duplications between localized versions of machines. E.g. Sony HB-F700P, HB-F700S, HB-F700F. Why not merge them into a single article and have the differences between localized versions into a paragraph in the article?

This allows for indicate more precisely the specificities and put more pictures for each model without overloading the pages. It is appreciable for several models like the HX-10.

But for most other models, I think it's wiser to combine them into a single article, to prevent all the duplication of information, which means it will become out of sync, don't you agree?

It's same for most other models. Many information are specific (Price, release, keyboard, colors, connectors, extra Roms, Slot map, power supply, etc). And it's better to keep the same way of doing everything for the wiki.

I would still prefer to combine them for all machines into a single article and make subsections for the differences. The differences are usually much less than the commonalities...

Compare https://www.msx.org/wiki/Sony_HB-F700D vs https://www.msx.org/wiki/Sony_HB-F700F vs https://www.msx.org/wiki/Sony_HB-F700P vs https://www.msx.org/wiki/Sony_HB-F700S

They're basically all the same, except from some keyboard, software and ROM differences.

Also, the pages now firmly state the exact CPU and engine used. BUT:
- not exactly the same CPU chips were used in all machines of the same type. I've already seen examples... like the Spectravideo SVI-728
- if you mention the CPU, why not mention all other relevant chips? But, see previous point: same thing there...
- some articles for very rare machines even mention it, whilst no one saw it without casing... (Damn, I can't find back that example anymore...)

Yes but it is not a general cas. Also I like to see different pictures for each machine.

I indicate that I can confirm and also things by trusting what others say.
And to create a page I often copy the page of another similar MSX. It's possible that I forget to remove texts.
When I find a mistake, I correct it. You can also correct the errors found.

I'd like to correct stuff too, but not correct it on several other articles which have the same duplicated information... that frustrates me.

With one article for the Sony HB-F700 series you can still put different pictures for each machine, right?
There are more examples like this of course...

I'm with Manuel on this, it makes no sense to have multiple pages with lots of copy/pasta for something that's essentially the same machine with a few minor differences.

And let's not forget we have a good example on how to do wiki pages since we have a pretty large one available: Wikipedia. They just have a single page for stuff like this, with a table to highlight the differences in models. Here's some examples:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreamcast#Models
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_Genesis#Variations
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_Portable#Variation
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roland_SC-55

Gdx, can you show me some source on how you know that the Sony HB-501P has a T6950 VDP? I'd be very surprised if it's different from the F version... The T6950 is quite rarely used.
