While VRAM high speed transferring every, reproducing the color which is close to possible limit original animated picture with frame pallet change. As for music the arrangement which does not impair the image of the field tune with PSG3 voice. In other words it is deep-red lie. As for animated picture as for compilation and sound source SC88pro. It is the MIDI ramming down.
ok
"frame pallete change" is the key , they change palette every frame , but looked so colorfull !
Youtube actually makes it really difficult to see the actual quality since it blends the frames.
If the method used is really only alternating palettes, then a turbo R wouldn't really be necessary. I still have a 4motion style engine laying around that works in sc3 at 30 Hz including palette changes. It would be no problem to use it with alternating palettes. We never used it because it's not that easy to make nice looking animated 16 colour content. Also compression is not as good and movies were pretty big.
If you'd actually use the R800, you could probably do more. Maybe something like partitioning the screen in separate palettes using screensplits. I still wonder if it would look as convincing on a real msx monitior though.
maybe turboR gt is used for its midi interface ?
ehat cool video, what smarts algorithms must have the coder!
