Hi everyone,

I pulled out the MSX and wanted to see if it still worked.
When I want to play Antartica I enter:
BLOAD"ANTA1",R

Then it says that it found ANTA1

Then after loading (the cassette stops) it says: in 0 and then Ok
Nothing happens, the game doesn't start...

What's up with this? oO
Would appreciate anyones help Face

But the game doesn't play/start, nothing happens, the screen is still blue.

MSX1? MSX2?

The secret level changes according to different machines...
If you look with attention, you'll see a penguin running fast in the bottom of the screen.
It happens very fast, so don't blink.

Is your cassette in good condition?
Is your tape recorder set (and in good condition as well) to play the tapes?
Did you test it with oither tapes?

Did you find the fast secret penguin in the intro screen?

I dunno, could be they've all gone bad. But it strikes me as weird that it says found?
The tape recorder works (plays, rewinds, makes the familiar eerie noise)
Tried 2 tapes, the MSX resets after loading a game

What about testing the tape recorder? Just type something in Basic and save it using SAVE"CAS:IRULE.BAS". Then try to load it using LOAD"CAS:IRULE.BAS"......RUN

10 print "Shoot the monkey"
20 goto10

Something like that Smile

Second thought: A game often starts with a BASIC file. So don't try bloading a BIN-file, but try loading a BAS-file......The BAS-file probably contains some decent POKES necessary to get your game running.

Yes, follow Latok's advice...
Did you try these?

RUN"CAS:"
or
LOAD"CAS:",R
or
BLOAD"CAS:",R

Haven't seen the penguin yet?

I'll try that. Thank you.

Can you also tell me about the connections on the back, should it go into the monitor or the record input? Or doesn't that matter?
