Suite Macabre was never declared as freeware and thanks to piracy the developer-publisher sadly left the MSX scene. Instead of waiting, normally all the MSX games become freeware after a period of time, they preferred to trample their work. Not only this game of course...

Thanks Pac for mention that. It is sad to see such a great developer left the scene because of pirating their games.

Sad indeed, I have contacted them to purchase a digital version. I hope anyone else who has not bought this yet to do the same (I wish more games actually were released digitally)..

Well, actually it's Micromancers (the distributors) who left the scene. Don't know about the relationship between Micromancers, Maltanto and Hikaru Games. It might be partly the same people, or maybe not. I'm still chasing Multiverse for instance. I got a digital version of Suite Macabre directly from Maltanto. And that was before they mentioned it on their site. So fill in that contact form, time may have healed some wounds. A bit.

Hey.
Thanks to this post I found the maltanto site.
Instantly bought it.
it comes with a pdf manual and a front cover image.
It's a very nice game, with very nice graphic for a screen 2 game.
It's surely worth the price !

I have asked Jorge of Maltanto about the other Micromancers games. He says they have left for good. On the other hand, I have found Multiverse, Children of the Night (Hikaru Games) and Wizard of Wor (Midway) downloadable for Colecovision.

The developer names are on those boxart, if someone knows them (or they read this) it would be great to convince them to sell these games themselves digitally.
