Hi there,

I wonder if someone has guitar tablatures of these melodies. I am not a musician and I just play just a bit of guitar.

Unfortunately, I do not read partitures, so I have only played them by ear. However, I am not yet that good at that.
The only entire melodies I figured out how to play are the intro and menu melodies. For the rest, I just play bits and pieces.

I would appreciate if someone could share (or could write) these tablatures.

Cheers!

There are some proper Ushas midi's. (And/or you could have a look at vgm2mid).

You might get somewhere with the aid of some midi sw?

Tux Guitar can convert MIDI files to tabs, so if you install it then load an Usas MIDI file (example) you will find a melody tab as one of the tracks. However the strings and frets are automatically decided so it is better to devise optimum fingering.

There are also the excellent Koichiro arrangements (MML/MGS). You could capture MIDI by playing a (non-scc) arrangement through MIDI-PAC :)

Many thanks to you all. I am now on the right track!!! Currently, I am only using MIDI files I have found on the Internet for stages 1, 2, and 5.

Unfortunately, vgm2mid fails to convert from vgz to mid, which is a pity, as the vgz package includes the whole set of melodies. I also tried with other conversion tools, even one online, but all of them have failed. I wonder why... For desktop applications, I'm not sure if this is a problem on Windows 10...

.vgz === zipped .vgm
Try to extract it first (e.g. with 7-zip).

Silly me, with the 'v' before 'gz' I didn't realise the files are compressed! Thanks!

I just checked on Win7, it should be able to process .vgz directly. It comes shipped with gzip.exe

Looking forward to that YT guitar cover vid! Wink

Any particular tune you're trying to learn first?

None in particular. For now I am only focused on the 5 stage melodies. By the way, I could convert the files to MIDI, which sound pretty good. However, once imported to TuxGuitar (or even TablEdit) the melodies are too messed up (not to mention the tablatures). I could not find yet a way to improve that, so I am still using the MIDI files I originally found in the Internet...
