Greetings,

The subject says it all... The VG8010 was my first computer, and the one where I've learned programming.
I remember to have a book called 'Programmer's Manual', or something like that, which I am now trying to find...
I don't know the original boxed contents, since it was bought second handed. It could have been a book the original owner bought...

If someone has/knows the original contents of a Philips VG-8010, could you please confirm me the name of the manual?

Thx,

Hugo

Wasn't it the MSX-BASIC book by Albert Sickler? The white edition. Well, that came with the 8020 at least Smile

According the (user) manual the box contained:
- computer ….
- power supply unit
- connection cable for a tv set
- (user) manual and reference manual

My Dutch (user) manual is only stating “Philips MSX computer system” at the cover, the English also shows “user manual”.

The user manual describes “installing the computer”, “MSX basic”, "Maintenance and peripherals” and appendices (list of error messages, reserved words, VDP, PSG etc.)

The reference manual contains descriptions of all basic commands, instructions and functions.
