I'm still waiting that I get a permanent LAN connection installed to my MSX workplace (Damn I'm lazy). When the cable is there I expect to use it a lot more than I'm currently doing. Oh, so many things to do and so little time.

Yes, not sure if POP and SMTP can do header download or so. (like on a mobile) But downloading 1 MB is not that slow Wink

In POP3 you can use TOP-command to retrieve partial messages. SMTP is for sending only.

You’re going to do POP3, or IMAP? I would do IMAP, since it doesn’t empty your mailbox, and there’s no need for local storage.

Deleting messages after receiving is purely optional, but good thing in IMAP is that it offers server-side searches... How ever I still think that a good HTML -> DOX converter should be done first. Smile

And it supports folders. Basically POP3 would be useless for me, because it can’t represent my mailbox.

I didn't thought about pop or IMAP, maybe both, as long the connection is not secure Wink about storage, i need to store it on disk anyway i think. But yes, IMAP would be a better choice. I'm not sure about dox. Would be cool, maybe later, first try it with text Big smile
