hi all,
just wondering why livingstone I is a game developed taking in account the msx1 hw abilities and
why its successor, livingstone ii is the usual horribly slow speccy convertion...
maybe different sw houses or developer teams who knows?

Livingstone 1 was developed at the beggining of the company (Opera).
The second one was developed much later when all the games was ported from Spectrum

Indeed the first livingstone, last mission and goody was the only spanish games developed also for for msx2.
In these days Opera has a contract with Philips

The MSX2 versions of those Opera Soft games all use screen 8 I think, is that correct?
They looked pretty good and played quite well. Goody has a really cool loading screen and I only lately found out that the backstory is quite original.

You are right, i only say the games.
Idealogic made also msx2 games but they are adaptations from other games of Telarium, Spinnaker and others.

I know the loading screen it's screen 8 but i now nothing of programming so i can't confirm it.
Goody it's one of my favourite games made in Spain

The same programmer and graphist; but probably a lot less time... Sad
