Can anyone recommend a memory expansion cartridge?

Psy-o-Blade only requires 64kb RAM. It works on any Japanese MSX2 or higher system -- no memory mapper required. (Unless there's an English-language version of it I don't know about?)

I do recommend the Sony HBM-512 as it holds perfectly a cup of tea near ma working space.

@radicalfaith360

I saw your past writes.
According to it, it says that the disk has scratches.
It is not due to insufficient memory and it may be the cause.
For that reason, please check to see if you can start the game on another MSX2+ or emulator.

I actually have a new copy of the game with no scratches and the same problem occurred. I don’t have an additional MSX to test this on and do not have a double density usb drive.

Perhaps you could try to repair the internal floppy drive?

No way. The header is misaligned and I’m not using the belt system. It was scratching my disks.

Well, I can't understand your request. You don't want to connect a drive and still test if the disks work? You can't decide for a RAM extension and don't want to buy a Flash-ROM cartridge?
You can test the game with another MSX user, the fair at the weekend is also a good opportunity to get to know such components. Maybe there are similar meetings near you or MSX users who will show you the possibilities?

Try to run the game in the openMSX emulator. Get a good disk image off the internet, select the Panasonic FS-A1WSX machine in openMSX, and try to play the game. If it works (which I expect it will) then we can immediately exclude a number of possibilities to do with incompatibility with the WSX specifically, and look at other potential causes (like e.g. drive or disk problems).
