We are doing the major release in a few minutes. Stay tuned...
Hi, I'm having problems with my Carnivore2. I'm not sure if it's the cart or my compact flash card, but it's very patchy when it comes to reading my CF card on boot.
Would do more testing, but my VRAM just blew, so I need to fix that first

Did you use the special RCP file for the Metal Gear 2? It allows the game to work correctly with Carnivore2.
Hi,
I have a Carnivore 2 for a few months and seeing the recent improvements in sound, I wanted to update the firmware (.POF)
The problem is that I can not launch the update with Quartus because I always have the following error message:
"210001 Can't open programming file C:/carnivore2.pof -- not valid SOF file"
I tried with Quartus II 13 which was already installed on my computer and that I used without problem a few months ago to update another FPGA device.
I installed Quartus Prime 18 to try but the result is the same.
Need your help please. Thanks in advance.
I don't remember my Quartus software ever complaining about a SOF file. The firmware itself is in the POF file and Quartus should open and read this file by default. Did you configure your Quartus software for the EPCS4 device as described in the readme file? Maybe a screenshot of the software's main window could help.
I tried with another computer and there was the same problem so I re-downloaded the Carnivore2.pof file and no more error message! (the previous file was certainly "corrupted").
The flash was very fast (less than 10s I would say). Is it normal?
Where can I see that the FPGA has been flashed with the latest version?
The flash with ActiveSerial is that fast, it takes really just a bunch of seconds
Thanks.
Despite the "100% completed" in green at the top right in Quartus, I thought there had been a problem because it seemed so fast!
Hello,
in my Philips VG-8235 the power supply is broken. The rare IC STK7561A is dead. I have built in a 3A (Amiga 600) switching power supply, it supplies 5V, 12V and -12V. The Philips is working again. I can no longer adjust the height of the keyboard because the components of the power supply are disturbing. I would therefore like to install a smaller switching power supply with 5V and 12V. Do I need the -12V mandatory? Need Carnivore2 -12V?
Best regards, MiC
