Hey all

I have a CF-IDE card in the IDE-interface, but i probably need to power this card via its 4-pin powersocket
I do have a powercase of a pc (just the box with powercables)
But it won't power up without a motherbordpoweronsignal
Does anyone have some advice? Wink

Simply pull +5V from cartridge inside? (CF card uses very modest amount, should be fine that way). If there's a connection for +12V, you'll probably find that isn't used/needed.

That is, if there isn't +5V available on the IDE connector - anyone know for sure? Btw what IDE interface are we talking about?

That thing that can be put on top of an IDE interface, I guess. The cartridge version extracts its own power from the cartridge slot.

Yes, Now i got it working, I see the previous owner updated it to bios version 2.40, but with idefdisk i cannot get a partition to work, it screws up after initialising the partitions with logical format.
Guess he forgot to upgrade the hardware too Sad

Hmm, I cannot edit my post Wink
I also wanted to ask, if someone knows if it is still possible to upgrade the hardware on this 95-model of the sunrise IDE interface somewhere?
