Not sure what your looking for. Just get the connector and put it on the ribbon cable. Also, make sure you put something non-conductive over the unused edge connector to prevent accidentally causing a short circuit. And when plugging it in, make sure pin1 on the MSX cartridge slot lines up with pin1 on the back of the drive...

I don't think there is much magic in it... Most important thing is that you get it right way.
Here is video that shows how it is done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFyFhcmeS2I

Obviously, check that all information is correct before starting, there may be errors.

Regarding the expansion bus slots, according to the MCM article about the Expansion Computer Case, the expansion bus of the Goldstar is not compatible with the SVI-728... but I can't really find a difference.... any idea?

See page 62 MCM 2:

Quote:

But both machines seem to have the pinout the same as the MSX cartridge slot.

Maybe the old and good upside down connection?

According service manuals the differences are pin 16 and /Busdir signal that is not reversed for the SVI-728 but I think it's a mistake because it's indicated the same for the cartridge slot. So only the pin 16 is different. The extension computer case is probably poorly designed and doesn't work on the SVI-728.
