Personally I like the MSX Wavy 23 model and even the 25 model....I was looking for the red model. Does anyone know all the different Wavy model numbers for the MSX? Which Wavy model have the best compatibility for most of the games and second of all what is the most appealing external disk drive that would fit the look of the MSX Wavy model and finally what hardware do I need and software from both MSX and PC side that allows me to transfer games from PC to MSX? Is there a readable cartridge that allows me to place .ROM into the MSX cartridge slot and allows me to transfer it from PC to MSX?

MegaFlashROM SCC+. It is a bit expensive but all-in-one.

Also useful:
- a PC with a built in disk drive (if you can still find one). Basic, but very cheap and easy way to transfer files if your MSX has a disk drive. Also: get an MSX with a built in disk drive to make this work Smile
- a Nowind lets you emulate an external disk drive on your MSX, backed by your PC with disk images (via an USB cable)
- a MegaFlashROM SCC+ is great, but you can't flash the ROMs in it without some disk drive or mass storage medium on your MSX. (There are variants with built in SD-card adapter, that is useful, but I don't know at the moment how easy it is to have the MSX formatted SD cards filled with a PC.)

What do you mean with 'the' red model? You might find this useful: http://faq.msxnet.org/hardware.html#Sanyo

You can use the memory cards that work with MegaFlashROM SCC+ SD on a PC as any other normal card, no special format there. Overall a great all-in-one product, since it has an SCC built-in as well (not implying here that you'd play Konami roms on it, but anyway!). A bit cheaper without the SD reader, but then you, indeed, need some other way of transferring the roms to the MSX first.

THAT IS IT!! THAT IS WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR:
http://www.oldbits.de/collection/sanyo_wavy23.jpg

When I was living in Saudi Arabia I saw THIS VERY SAME MSX MODEL..JUST LIKE THAT...EXACTLY LIKE THAT SHAPE AND LOOK AND EVERYTHING but colored red. Now...of course I am not picky, but I thought the colored red one was more power full than the original one that I had which was white. Regardless...that there is the model I am asking for. I do hope it support English as well.

I want to buy that MSX model computer plus that card Mega Flash ROM SCC+ with 64 MB capacity.

Now with that card you said I can transfer the ROM into it using SD reader..and buy the way I am buying the whole package deal with Mega Flash FROM...I am buying Mega Flash ROM plus the SD reader...how can I transfer the ROM from PC to MSX using SD card with MegaFlashROM SCC+?

Plus are you saying I cannot play Konami games on the MSX using the MegaFlashROM? I cannot play Kings Valley for example on the MSX?

Thanks in advance.

By the way I want to buy this MSX2+ is this it http://www.msxgamesbox.com/passion/msxgamesbox/museum/museum...?

Also to be honest...I WANT THAT COMPUTER http://www.msxgamesbox.com/passion/msxgamesbox/museum/museum... is that an MSX 2?
Thanks in advance.

Your links show it. It's a MSX1.

The Wavy 23 is a MSX2. (Your first link)

If you want a MSX2+ prefer a Panasonic!

As a lover of Wavy models, check here, you can see that there is a WAVY 70FD MSX2+ for sale in a very good shape. Yes, the thread is in Spanish but no problem he sells everywhere, contact him directly, a trusty person.

I am not so sure that MSX2+ is backward compatible too all the MSX titles...I want MSX that is 100% compatible and MSX+ seems limited to only handful titles.

MSX2+ is backward compatible with all the released ROM and disk games there is. Only for some old cassette games there are compatibility issues, but those could also be rather easily solved.
