Any external memory cartridge will work. For example, the 4mb Padial one.

Hi!

And even more. If you plug the Playsoniq cartridge you can have up to 16mb or RAM. So. If you plug Playsoniq+the 4mb memory cartridge, you'll have 20mb. Anyway, no software will use so much Big smile The soft that requires most RAM will use, generally, 512kb and it's most of the times (if not always) for MSX2. But yes, an MSX1 can have so much RAM anyway.

I wonder what's the biggest amount of RAM MSX software has ever required. Not counting media editors such as SampleBox and others that could literary extend music/movies until RAM runs out.

I'd think of disk versions of cracked ROMs, and demos like Sphere and Wings.

Is there a DIY schematic to build a simple ram card? Or perhaps changing the onboard ram chips on the MSX?

proteus: why do you think your MSX has 32kB RAM? The Goldstar FC-200 usually has 64kB.

Hi Manuel, this is the model: http://www.homecomputer.de/pages/f_msx.html?Toshiba_HX-10.html.
And on the screen shows 28321Kb.

proteus: what you have in BASIC says nothing. BASIC has 28815 bytes maximum, your machine is 64kB.

So, is that enough? What do you want to do with it?
