Well, on one hand the MSX standard does not seem to guarantee the databus contains pull-ups. But all the MSX's I have ever seen and tested nowind on DO have the pullups. We have looked at designs of various catridges, and almost all of them contain pull-ups on the data, address and control lines the catridge uses. So after some investigation we concluded:
- gr8bit should have pullups to be more compatible with MSX, we added those.
- nowind should have pullups to be compatible with any MSX that does not have the pullup (if there are any), we dont have to change the nowind's in the field, except if someone find such an msx and happens to want to use a nowind on it Smile

- we recommend to all hardware creators to add 10k pullups to every data, address and control line they use.
(This is a little amendment to the standard that says to do this for every line that is 'used more then once', but it is not clear on what that means.
