All parts delivered and soldered. The result is great and 100% working.

The keyboard PCB connected via a small ribbon cable to the adapter board:

The result testing all keys working:

The costs went up a bit. The costs I stated earlier was without the dreadful import tax and parts. In the end I spend around 225,- on the whole project.

I am selling the keyboard PCB completely soldered and tested for EUR. 45,- excluding shipping.

I have already two other MSX friends who want at least one so there are still 4 left. If you are interested send me an email to address listed at my profile.

HB-F1XD keyboard PCB now open source.

Last autumn I went ahead and designed a PCB replacement for my faulty keyboard membrane.

I was able to sell 7 PCBs to cover my initial investment of manufacturing 0,6mm PCB's. I know there is still a demand for this because I get regular emails. But I don't want to go through the hassle of ordering, import duties, soldering, testing, receiving orders, shipping and support process again. Although I liked the interaction with my fellow MSX-ers.

As a result I am opening up the designs for everyone to download, modify and use. This way many more Sony HB-F1 machines can be restored to their former glory.

Happy MSX-ing.

Really nice to make this an open source project, thanks!

That project could serve as template to other keyboard membrane to PCB conversions (like for the Panasonic ones).

i agree, JPT-PANAKEY-V2 Panasonic MSX2+ and turbo R keyboard is amazing, but leonardo left us, and mounting it with mechanical mechanisms is more expensive than this project.
