That's awesome! I've noticed the smps onboard; is that for power the slots with 5 Volts?

Yes, it supplies power to the slots, as well as the computer itself - since the docking station gets in the way of the DC Jack and the power switch. It takes a 8-12v input (polarity and rectification not required), and converts it into 8-12vdc and then converts that down to 5vdc. This allows you to supply both 5v and 12v to the expanded slots while still powering the system. I have a circuit based on the MC34063A that I plan to incorporate into the next version of the board to supply the -12v reference. And will be adding a power switch, and possibly a 16k SRAM to expand the system's onboard memory.

I have the whole unit assembled now, including cables. Should test it soon and wrap the project.
