This is a textbook application of the german tank problem:

I estimate the first plant produced 28692 STs, with sigma=682.83 (estimated using parameters m=28026 and k=44).

Are U sure? As you can see here there are only 3 opcodes new for R800

I think the confusion may have been due to the R800 using different mnemonics, e.g. CP was renamed to CMP, LDIR to MOVEM, JP to BR, etc.
